The Building’s of Charlotte, NC

“There is nothing like a dream to create the future.” – Victor Hugo

I remember when we moved to Charlotte 12 years ago, and how amazed I was at the large buildings here. I have family in Charlotte, and I have spent a few summers here, but the city has grown a lot in the last 20 years. To be honest, my area looks nothing like it did when I first moved here. There there used to be pockets of trees and abandoned buildings. Now that space is covered in apartments and townhomes. Don’t get me wrong, I love the change that has come to this area, from more restaurants and grocery stores to more fun things to do, but you can keep the extra traffic.

One thing about my new camera that I love is, it’s smaller and lighter than my last one. With it being smaller, I can bring my 55 – 300 mm lens with me when I ride my bike. This gives me the opportunity to take better close ups and far off shots. I took advantage last time I rode my bike to Uptown Charlotte on a clear day. I was able to snap these shots sitting in Marshall Park. The photo below will show you how far away I was from the buildings.
