Over the Atlantic

“The sun, the earth, love, friends, our very breath are parts of the banquet.” – Rebecca Harding Davis

Fun fact about me, if you didn’t know I’m an elementary school teacher. My primary focus is math and science. One the things I have to teach in science is weather, and I focus part of that unit on the different types of clouds. We don’t get too particular with the types of clouds, and it to keep it as basic as possible because later on in middle school students learn more about the different variety of clouds. One type of my students learn about in my class is cirrus clouds. These types of clouds are thin and higher up in the atmosphere. They typically indicate fair weather, but there is a change in the weather coming.

In these photos that I took back in December, you see cirrus clouds in the background. The scene at sunset was beautiful, it meant that a change in the weather was coming. Fortunately, the weather while we were at the beach was wonderful, but the next day when we arrived in Nassau it was raining. We still had a great time, and the rain just made it a little inconvenient.
