Sunrise Over Nassau

“The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.” – Mark Twain

I enjoy posting content. There is so much more that happens than just me snapping a photo and posting it online. Depending on where I am, there could be some planning involved. Take this photo from Nassau. as an example. I had to time it to where I would be awake right as the sun rose, and figure out where to stand on the ship so I wouldn’t miss anything. Since it was early in the morning, I had to make sure I had all of my gear packed up the night before so I could be ready to when my alarm when off. Then there is the snapping of the photo. To me that’s the easy part with a scene like this. Afterwards, I go through and edit the photo to bring out its best qualities. While it might seem like a lot, I actually enjoy the process. One of my favorite things to do is to have a good show up on the TV, and just chill while editing photos and videos. I also enjoy writing the captions of the photos and videos that I post. It is a process, but a process that I like.

These photos are some of my favorites that I took in Nassau last December. This was our second trip to Nassau. Sadly, it did rain some that day, but a rainy day in Nassau is better than staying home. I chilled up on the deck with a cup of coffee for about a half an hour, trying to capture the full beauty of this sunrise.

  1. What very very lovely photos! When I was a little girl my Daddy and Uncle were always waking us kids up to see beautiful sun rises. It has been years since I have seen sunrise even half as beautiful as these! It takes a special artist to set up a photo or photos that show a glimpse of the beauty that God creates. You are among the very few artists/ photographers who can do just that! WOW!
