Seeking Water

“We live in a rainbow of chaos.” – Paul Cezanne

Whenever I go on a trip or a hike, I always look for water to photograph. If I find a waterfall, I consider it the jackpot, especially if I am not specifically looking for a waterfall. When I look back at my favorite photos, they typically involve water, from sunsets over the ocean to creek flowing down the mountain in the fall. I love a great photo over the water.

I took these photos on my recent visit to Durham, N.C. My wife and I took a weekend up there while our kids were away at church camp. We visited some great restaurants, stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast, and saw some pretty awesome places. One morning we hiked at West Point by Eno. The Eno River runs through the park. We saw a photography museum, a working mill, a waterfall and the Eno River. It was a fun place to check out even though it was super humid.

Check out my Instragram Post that I made about this trip.
