I have always liked visiting the zoo. To see animals that I don’t see where I am normally is fun. There are quite a few I could just sit and watch for days. Sadly, I haven’t been back to the zoo in a few years. My kids are older, and don’t like it as much as they used to. We also haven’t had a real chance to go. Maybe I will be able to return this, or there is always later this year when it cools off.
I took these photos of this thinking in 2018. We visited the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, NC. These guys were just posing for the camera for me. This is a great zoo to visit if you bring your walking shoes. It is difficult to see the whole zoo in one day, but total worth it to try. We took two days to see as much as we could. The reason it takes so long to see everything is the zoo is really spread out, which is great for the animals because they have plenty of room to roam around.
