“Our work is the presentation of our capabilities.” – Edward Gibbon

We have all had trips that did not go the way we expected them. We had this vision in our mind, and then the vision didn’t happen like we expected. Sometimes things turn out better than expected, and then other times not so much. This happened to us when we did a shore excursion while we were at the British Virgin Islands. When we looked at the description it said that we would snorkel and walk through the Baths. The only warning was about swimming 20 yards from the boat to the shore. We also had to swim back again. I didn’t think it was a big deal. But, they neglected to mention that we would walk through rocky terrain. We would walk through this terrain without shoes on while carrying our snorkel gear. Needless to say afterwards, my feet were killing me, but in the end I enjoyed it. I must have swam for over an hour that day, and I managed to see some cool stuff underwater. If I did it again I would invest in a waterproof backpack and wear a pair of shoes.

This is one of those adventures where I left my camera and phone back on the boat. I didn’t want to risk them getting damaged while out there. I brought my GoPro with me. One thing I love about the GoPro is it’s a pretty good camera for the size and price. I took these photos right after we journeyed through the caves. The Baths at Virgin Gorda is a natural wonder. It features boulders and caverns that make up a maze. This maze leads to secret rock pools and the famous Cathedral Room, a natural pool inside a small cave. This was one beautiful place to visit.

Here is a video of another beautiful place we visited while on this trip.
Wonderful images! 😊
