Waste Some Time

“The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.” – Bertrand Russell

When I was younger, I would think that rest was for the weak. I thought that by being busy all the time was how I was going to be successful. My idea of success was being busy all the time. The older I get the more I appreciate rest. I realized that part of being successful is taking moments to rest. I also realize it’s important to take time for doing the things I love to do. From riding my bike to practicing photography, I have a lot of things that I like to do.

I took these photos last year right before spring break. I was getting some practice in with my camera before we headed out on our cruise on Spring Break. I took some time one weekend with this photos and did some work with the Raw files. These roses are in my backyard. My wife and I planted them to honor members of our family we had lost.

Here are some other photos I have taken of things blooming.
