“There’s no more important consumer product today than a cell phone.” – Mary Dillon

Let’s be honest, we are all guilty of this one thing. We do it more often than we think, and we judge others for doing it. Too often while we are out in the world, we are too preoccupied with our cell phones. I am guilty of this too. This is why I have to set specific times to be off my phone. These times are either at home or while riding my bike. It’s funny how often we miss something because we are too busy looking at what’s on our phones.

I’ve enjoyed the warm weather that has been happening over the last few days. I have tried to take advantage of it as much as I can. Last weekend, the weather was absolutely amazing. I set out on my bike to Uptown Charlotte. I spent some time at the Uptown Farmers Market and grabbed a coffee there. I rode over the Marshall Park and then to the Green. It was too nice to just stay indoors. I bring my phone with me just in case I have an emergency. However, I stay off of it while I’m out. This way I have some time to unplug and reflect. I guess since I was unplugged, I noticed how others were not. Here are some street photography shots I captured while I was out last weekend. Most of these photos were captured at the Green. Others were captured at the Light Rail Trail in the Southend Neighborhood.
