Rainy, but Still Beautiful

“Either I will find a way, or I will make one.” – Philip Sidney

I love it when it rains, but I prefer it to rain at certain times. Unlike what some on the internet think, no one has control over the weather. If I could control the weather, then I would choose when I wanted it to rain. I prefer it not to rain while I am at work. I am an elementary school teacher, and one of the things I hate doing is indoor recess. I prefer for my students to have some time outside daily, and I need fresh air too. I also prefer it not to rain when I want to ride my bike. I can rarely find time during the week to go, so my only option is typically on the weekends. The only time I guess I like it to rain is the middle of the night. However, the rain comes when it comes.

A few weeks ago, I was able to go to the Masters golf tournament for the first time in years. When we moved to Charlotte, I had been applying to get tickets every year. I finally got them, and was ready to be there. The week before we saw that the weather was not looking good. We decided to go anyways. We went through the gift shop, and as soon as we walked out they closed the course. Apparently there was lightning in the region, and when there is lightning they make everyone leave. While my experience was short, it was still fun. We did find out that we are getting our money refunded, and we get to go next year. Here are a few photos from my short experience there.
