“Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time.” – Lyndon B. Johnson

Do you have a favorite road you like to drive on? Is it a road that brings back memories of the past? It could be the road you grew up on or back in your original neighborhood. The road where my grandparents house used to be brings back great memories. It could be the road to somewhere you loved going to as a child. As you ride on it, you remember all of your feelings. You recall the excitement you had because of the built up anticipation. As strange as it sounds, we all have a road we like to be on.

One of my favorite roads is the Blue Ridge Parkway. I have several memories of riding on it because I visited a few times as a child. A few years ago, our kids went away for the first time to church camp. So to take advantage of our time, we took a day to Asheville, N.C. We took the scenic route to get there by taking the Blue Ridge Parkway. This was one of the places we stopped at while on the way.

Here is a video of another one of my favorite spots in the mountains, Curtis Creek.
Gorgeous landscapes. 😊
