“There’s never one sunrise the same or one sunset the same.” – Carlos Santana

I have always been a big fan of sunsets. Whenever we travel, I am always looking for an opportunity to capture a sunset. Looking back at the photos I have taken over the years, most are of a sunset or sunrise. While it can seem like I have taken many photos of the same thing. However, every sunrise and sunset is different. From the colors in the sky to the way the light hits the ground. It’s always different, even if I capture the photo from the same place.

We planned a trip during the week of the 4th of July. The family and I visited my mom’s in Georgia. The week was filled with BBQ, fireworks, and good times. Even when I go on short family trips, I bring my camera with me. You never know when there will be an opportunity to capture great photos. One evening, I walked outside around sunset, and the sky looked amazing. I grabbed my camera, and started snapping photos. All of these photos I captured I used a lens from a company called Retropia. I love this lens because it is lightweight. This makes it perfect to bring with me while on a walk. I also love that it is made from recycled disposable camera lenses. When I capture photos with it, it looks like the shot was captured with a film camera. It has various imperfections in the shot that give it a retro look. I also like how the lens doesn’t need to be focused. Just like an old school disposable camera, all you have to do is point and shoot.
