Nonstop Days

“Quality is everyone’s responsibility.” – W. Edwards Deming

As an elementary school teacher, the months of August through November are my busiest times of the year. From all of the work that is required to start the year to getting to know my new batch of students, it is a nonstop time of the year. One thing added to my plate this year is coaching other teachers. I spent my afternoon yesterday having 2 coaching meetings and meeting with my mentee all in a span of 1 hour. I also taught all day too. What makes it better is the idea of knowing that once I get to Veteran’s Day, I will be fully into the school year and things will be more settled.

While this is a crazy time of the year, fall is still a wonderful season. From the leaves changing to the cooler temperature, I love this time of the year. One of my favorite things to do is to go around Charlotte and capture photos of the leaves changing. Typically, when I go out and take photos, I ride my bike to Uptown Charlotte. One place that is great for photos is Marshall Park. It isn’t far from my house, and riding my bike this time of year is a joy.
