Expressing Gratitude

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” – William Arthur Ward

I would like to think that we mostly are thankful people. People do things for us, and we appreciate what they do. The problem is we don’t often express how much we appreciate what someone does for us. We enjoy visiting the local coffee shop. Someone prepares our warm (or iced) caffeinated beverage just the way I like it. Then sometimes they ask a question when we pay, and yes you should leave a tip. I am not going into a debate about U.S. tipping culture. What I am saying is, you like the drink they make, so some appreciation for it. An extra 50 cents or a dollar isn’t going to break the bank. If it does, then maybe learn how to make latte’s at home (and yes, I know how). Take moment and do more than say thank you. Show that you are thankful.

One place I always enjoy taking photos at when I travel is at the harbor. I love seeing all of the different large boats in the area. I took these photos last winter when the family and I took a cruise to the Dominican Republic. We did so much when we visited that day. From touring a butterfly farm to eating lunch at a plantation. This was a great experience for everyone.
