It Doesn’t Work

“Discovering what doesn’t work is part of finding what does.” – Thomas C. Foster

Are you every amazed at an idea you had doesn’t work out the way you think it does? We sit down, come up with this amazing idea, and then try it out. When we try it out we find out that it doesn’t work. We get upset when it doesn’t work often overlooking what happened as an opportunity. A good idea might not work out, and that is necessarily a bad thing. Every good idea that someone has come up with overshadows all of the bad ideas in the process. So your idea didn’t work out, you now know one thing that doesn’t work. Analyze what didn’t work out, and try again. All great ideas take time to develop, and time to get right. Too often we are tempting to go back to what we were doing before and miss an opportunity. Sometimes things don’t work out the way we plan out to. Move forward in order to prepare yourself for your next great opportunity.

When we took out trip to Alaska last summer, I took a lot of pictures. In fact, I took over 2,000 pictures. I am still going through all of the photos I captured on that trip. I did some adjustments with my settings while we were on a couple of stops. Most of the photos I captured turned out amazing. However, a few did not work out. Does that mean I should sell my camera on eBay, and give up photography? Hopefully the other photos I have posted over the last seven years says otherwise. These photos I captured while in Skagway, Alaska turned out amazing if you ask me. We were able to ride the on the White Pass Scenic Railway. This train follows the same path as the 1896 Alaskan Gold Rush.
