The Next One

“The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge.” – Bertrand Russell

If you are like me, you enjoy traveling. It can some where I have been before, or somewhere new. I always love that feeling when we have a trip planned even when it’s months away. It’s something to look forward to. What it is even better is when you have two trips planned in the future. Travel does take time and preparation. It seems like when I was younger, we didn’t have to plan out things to far in advance. It’s wasn’t hard to get something before it was sold out. Today, it seems like we have to plan months in advance in order to pull it off. One advantage of planning in advance is that gives us something in the future to be excited about.

Last fall we planned a trip to Orlando, Florida. Our main goal was to mingle with the flamingos at Discovery Cove. With the deal we purchased we were able to have a side quest as SeaWorld. One of my favorite parts of the day was watching the Orca’s preform. The Orca’s at Seaworld don’t really stand still. The place where they preform is called the Orca Stadium, and that place was packed when we went. In fact, SeaWorld was full of people the day we went. We sat in an area called the splash zone. I’m sure that meant there was a chance that you could get wet. I got a little nervous with having my camera out, but I wanted to get some good shots. I had my bag ready. I could put it back in a hurry. That was in case the splash zone lived up to its name. Fortunately, it didn’t. I was able to capture some great shots of the Orca’s. They performed in front of us.
