“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” – Jimmy Dean

The comment section of Instagram can be a dangerous world. From someone saying things that don’t make sense to people insulting just to get a rise out of it. I have been pretty fortunate overall with the comments I get online, and they are mostly positive. I appreciate the comments the most where someone shares about a particular place I am visiting. Some share that they have been there before, or others share that they want to go there. I love hearing about how someone has great memories of the photos I post. Sometimes people share about how the weather of the destination I shared would not be the weather they prefer to experience while on vacation. A few days ago, someone commented on the photos of the Hubbard Glacier that I shared. It was a cool day out at the glacier. This person said it might be too cold for them. For me, the weather was perfect for a July day. I am not a big fan of the heat during summer. I prefer cooler weather. For me, the day at the glacier was perfect, but it might have been a little too cool for others.

Hubbard Glacier is North America’s largest tidewater glacier. It measures 76 miles long. It is known for its “galloping” advance, which is unlike most receding glaciers. It is named after Gardiner Hubbard, the first president of the National Geographic Society. The glacier is distinguished by its towering face. This face is 600 feet tall at the terminal face, with 250 feet below the waterline.
