Adventures in Orlando

“A good photograph is knowing where to stand.” – Ansel Adams

Sometimes when we plan trips, they turn out better than expected. Usually, when we plan a trip, we have one goal in mind. That one goal is the reason we take the trip. When we took our first cruise down to Central America, I was just hoping to have some fun in the sun over Christmas. But in the end, I was able to spend a day touring Mayan ruins. It was like seeing something out of a movie. When we went to Roatan Island, I was hoping to check out different sites there, but nothing worked out for us. I did discover how much I love to snorkel. Nothing beats being able to swim and check out the wildlife underwater. When we went to Alaska, my main goal was to see a glacier for the first time, but I was also able to see whales breaching the water up close. Whenever we go on a trip, we might have one thing in mind, but sometimes we are able to get more than we bargained for.

Last winter, the family and I took a trip to Orlando. The goal was to take my mom to spend the day with the flamingos. When we planned the trip, we got a deal where we could see the flamingos and get tickets to SeaWorld for $30 more for all of us. We took advantage and spent the day at SeaWorld. We had a great time checking out all of the sights. We didn’t ride any of the rides because it was super crowded, but we were able to take in the Orca show and see the dolphins do their thing.
