“To send light into the darkness of men’s hearts – such is the duty of the artist.” – Robert Schumann

As people, we often wonder what our purpose is on this earth. Sometimes we know what that purpose is, and other times we might not be too sure. I try to live my life with purpose. I wonder how people go from day to day without purpose. For me, my purpose comes from my faith. I believe that my purpose in this world is to make it a better place. I ask myself, “Do my decisions and views make the world better daily?” That purpose for me comes from the idea of my faith that we should want things around us to be better. Too often, we allow outside influences to take our focus away from what’s important. Or we allow them to convince us that we are making the world better by taking care of ourselves only. My purpose in life is to help make the world better by any means that I can.

One way I try to make the world better is by posting positive things online. There is too much negativity and cruelty. One positive post could be the thing that makes someone’s day better. That’s why I post my photography online. It’s one way that I can fulfill my purpose on Earth. My focus is typically on the positive and what works. While these photos might not be that special in the grand scheme of things, I like them. I captured these photos a few months ago, back in February, while Charlotte was thawing out from the massive snowstorm we had in our area at the end of January. Schools were closed for almost a week, and we got to enjoy some time together. I used my lens from @retropiacam to capture these photos. Can you tell it was cold when I captured these?
