Routines

“Start with what is right rather than what is acceptable.” – Franz Kafka

I am a big fan of routines. As a teacher, routines are some of the most important things I establish with my students. They allow me to manage 20 plus students at one time. Routines help me know when something is going right and when something is going wrong in my classroom. Routines help me as a teacher keep learning going in my classroom. I have some life routines that I follow as well. I get up around the same time every day, even during the summer. I have a lot to do this summer, and I want to make sure I make the most of my time. Routines allow me to focus on what I need to do and make the best of my time.

The Hubbard Glacier was nothing short of amazing. It took us a few hours to get there from when we woke up that morning. The views on the way there were amazing. I remember opening up these photos last night on my computer, and just being in awe of how amazing this place is. Looking at these photos reminded me of the moment I captured them. I remember standing out on our balcony with my camera using an over 300 mm lens. The lens was so heavy that my arm got tired at certain points. The air was chilly, but I had a great cup of coffee out there with me. My wife and I purchased the plan where we could get unlimited premium coffee while on the ship. Not only was my obsession with photography satisfied on this trip, but also my coffee addiction. These photos here were the first few I captured that morning while we were on the way to the Hubbard Glacier.
