“My dear friend, clear your mind of cant.” – Samuel Johnson

When a trip is coming to an end, you feel it. It is a combination of mixed emotions. On one hand, you are glad to go home. After a few days, you miss things like your bed, your shower, your kitchen, and I even add my coffee pot to that list. At the same time, a great vacation is ending, and you want to keep making great memories. You don’t want the trip to end, but sadly it has to. The ending of a trip just means that another opportunity to explore somewhere new is coming.

When we took our trip to Alaska, our port was in Seattle. The day our boat came back, there were no flights to Charlotte before noon, so we decided to stay the day in Seattle. Once we dropped our bags off at the hotel, we headed down to Pike Place Market. Afterwards, we came back to the hotel, rested, and then walked to dinner. These photos are from that last walk we took. This was the last journey we took around town, and we explored what we saw along the way. I used my lens from Retropia to capture these shots. It is made with a recycled disposable camera and gives the feel of a shot being captured with an old film camera.
