No Regrets

“You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.” – Henry Ford

Last night, I finished another book for the year. I wrapped up reading a biography about Christopher Columbus. The book focused on how his story was hyped up and exaggerated over the years in order to help someone, or a group of people, achieve status or financial gain, which is the same reason he sailed to what he thought was India. This reminded me how important it is to keep things in the right perspective. It is important to know the truth behind different events and try to avoid someone else’s vision of the truth. This is why it is important to share the truth with people online. Too often, we share a sanitized version of ourselves. We also need to realize most people share a fake version of themselves online, showing only what they want you to see. I am not saying that we need to air all of our dirty laundry online, but we should strive to be our authentic selves as often as possible.

A few weeks ago, our neighbor let us know that the developer who bought our old house was tearing it down. It was sad to see the old place go because we spent so much time there. We lived there for over 14 years. However, we love where we are now. Our new house is a huge improvement over the old one. When we went out there, I brought my camera with me and captured as many shots as I could. You might be wondering why I am posting shots of my house being torn down again. Honestly, I captured a lot of photos. Whenever I capture a lot of photos of something, I have to post them, especially if I like them. To me, these shots turned out great. I have no regrets about posting these again.
