And Just Like That, the Snow Is Back

When I looked at the weather the other night, I thought to myself that it looks like we won’t be getting any snow this time. It appeared as if most of the white stuff was going to be occurring to the east of us. I was shocked when my school district decided to do remote learning last Friday because it seemed like everything was going to be fine. Friday morning, I thought to myself that it wasn’t that bad, and I had geared up my mind for us just having a really cold weekend. All of that changed Friday afternoon. Suddenly things were changing. The weather guys were telling us that we were going to get some snow. This was a pleasant change from what we had the previous weekend. The last time we had winter weather roll through we only a little bit if snow but mostly it was ice. The ice looks pretty cool, but snow in a landscape photo looks way better.

Since we had some real snow this time, I took a walk around the neighborhood in order to enjoy it. Most of the photos I took were at the same place I took them last time. It was pretty cool to compare the differences between when we had ice and when we had snow. It was pretty cold outside, but this time I was prepared because I ordered some gloves last week that are waterproof.

For Christmas this year, I decided to get myself some filters for my camera lenses. I bought a UV lens and a lens designed to take slow shutter speed photography. I can’t wait to try those out. Today, I took out my polarizer lens that I bought. For my first one, I kept it simple and bought the Amazon brand. It did the job pretty well.
