Sometimes You Need an Umbrella

“My motto is: Contented with little, yet wishing for more.” – Charles Lamb

The last few weekends can easily be defined by rain. To me, it seems like it has rained almost every weekend. When it hasn’t been raining, I have been working in my yard. I have only ridden my bike twice since spring break. Either the weather hasn’t been in my favor, or I have had too much to do in order to take some time away. I only have 9 school days left until the end of the year, and I plan on relaxing and enjoying time with family.

I took these photos when we visited Nassau over spring break. The weather didn’t go the way we wanted it to. We thought about having a day at the beach, but decided against it when we saw it was going to rain all day. We ended up taking a bus tour of the city. We were able to see many of the sights and sounds of the island, while learning a little about the island’s history and culture.

I took these photos at one of our stops at the chocolate factory. The umbrellas in the sky seem to be a thing many places do. I used my GoPro 10 to take these photos because the rain was picking up a little bit, and I didn’t want to get my Nikon D7500 wet. I was actually impressed at the quality of photos my GoPro takes. I bought it primarily as an underwater camera, but I have found so many more great uses for it. From recording myself teaching to making action videos while riding my bike.
