Stop, Point, and Shoot

“Men can starve from a lack of self-realization as much as they can from a lack of bread.” – Richard Wright

Whenever my family and I visit somewhere, my camera is typically in my hand, and I am capturing photos at every stop along the way. There are some places we visit where I might walk a few feet and take a few photos. Then I walk a few more feet and take more photos. It might take me 20 minutes just to walk a little bit down a path. I get behind sometimes when I am with a guided tour group because I am too busy taking photos. For me, the obsession is that I am trying to capture as many good photos as I possibly can. For my family, they just want me to move along. There are just some places that I really can’t help myself with because our surroundings are beautiful.

One of my favorite waterfalls to visit in Northeast Georgia is Anna Ruby Falls. Anna Ruby Falls is located a few miles outside of Helen, Georgia. For a small fee and a short walk, you can visit the falls. The drive to the falls is beautiful. You take this winding road, and there are a couple of falls you can see as you drive up. I captured these photos that I am posting while we were walking up to the falls. It took me almost an hour to walk a path that only takes 30 minutes to hike because I was too busy capturing photos. This place is amazing.
