Which One?

“Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.” – Oscar Wilde

What happens to people when you walk into a room? Are they excited to see you? Do they look forward to you being around them, or are they sad that you are there? We can be the person that others are excited to see just by our attitudes. We want to be the person that others want to be around. In order to be that person, we have to put others first. Too often, we think happiness comes from us because we are fun to be around. We think that we are so great that others have to have us around. The truth is, in order to bring happiness, we have to put others before ourselves.

It’s hard to believe that at one point this year, the city of Charlotte was covered in a foot of snow. It seems like it was so long ago, but in reality, it was only a little more than 3 months ago. The entire city was basically shut down for days, with schools closed for almost the entire week. When it happened, I took full advantage of my camera and captured as many shots as I could. It was such an unreal event to me because I hadn’t seen that much snow since I lived in Kentucky almost 15 years ago. I captured as many shots as I could around my neighborhood because who knows when it will snow this much again.
