When I take photos, I prefer to use my camera. I have a Nikon Z7ii. It’s a full-frame mirrorless camera. Unlike my last camera, which was a DSLR, it has some added benefits. The lack of a mirror provides key benefits including a lighter and smaller body, faster continuous shooting speeds, advanced autofocus with real-time eye tracking, and superior video recording capabilities like uncropped 4K. This camera was something I saved up for a while, and it has traveled with me on every major trip since then. Sometimes I bring it with me just in case while I am walking the neighborhood or riding my bike.
The other day I went with my wife to a plant store so she could look for more houseplants for our new house. While she looked at the houseplants, I looked around at the outdoor plants, looking for ideas for things we can plant around the house in the future. I haven’t started planting too much yet because we have some work we need to do on the exterior of the house. While I was walking around, I saw some pollinators working with some of the flowers. I didn’t have my camera with me yesterday, so I grabbed my phone and started snapping some photos. I was able to capture some good ones in the end. If I had my camera with me, I could have snapped some better close-ups, but these worked out just fine in the end.
