Good Photography

I think most people know what good photography is. The question is, do we have the skills to capture good photography? We know what good photography looks like because when we see it, we like it. We click the like button to show the artist we appreciated it. We add a comment to show what we are thinking about it. We even share it with others to have them see this good photograph that we have come across. We know what good photography looks like. Capturing a photo that qualifies as good photography is a different skill. There is more to just posting a great photo online than just snap and upload. Depending on the subject, timing is important. It ranges from ensuring the right amount of sunlight to making sure everything is in place. Making sure what you want in the shot is there, and that it is framed correctly, is important. There are times when you can’t just Photoshop everything you don’t like out of it. While there is a lot Photoshop can do, it has its limitations. Those things are only the beginning of getting a good photo ready to post online. Recognizing good photography is one thing; creating it is something else.

One of my favorite parks to visit in Charlotte is The Green. The Green is a small park located in Uptown Charlotte. Many of the decorations in the park are literacy-themed. It’s a great place to sit and relax during a busy day. These shots are of a sign for an old business that used to be located at the park, and a fountain too.
