Don’t Be So Noisy

“This love is silent.” – T. S. Eliot

For those of you who know me, you know that I am a loud person. You usually can hear me way before you see me. I often joke with people that the doctor told me that I have big lungs. Actually, that is something the doctor said to me once when I had a chest x-ray. Oftentimes, we think that the person that is the loudest has the most passion. That isn’t necessarily true. Oftentimes, the loudest person is just the loudest person. We give them more attention because it’s easier to focus in on the most volume than it is to focus on the one who isn’t as loud. Sometimes the quiet ones have the most wisdom. We have to have a place in our lives to give those who are not the loudest a place to be heard.

One of my favorite parts of our European cruise was our stop in Paris. Paris has so much to see. Spending one day there didn’t do it justice, but I loved what I saw. Our tour bus dropped us off at the base of the Eiffel Tower, and then we took a river cruise along the Seine River. I had my camera in overdrive while I was there. I am glad I had both batteries charged and plenty of room on my SD card. Most of these shots I captured while we were at the base of the Eiffel Tower. The details and beauty of the architecture caught my eye in Paris.
