“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.” – Jim Rohn

It’s easy to get into the mindset of thinking that one day I will be happy. We keep thinking that if we had everything right in our lives then things would improve. What if that one day never comes? We look forward so much to what could happen in the future that we ignore what’s happening today. Enjoy the present. It might not be perfect, but this moment will likely never return. We need to appreciate now, before now is gone.

Over the summer, we took a cruise around Europe. One of our stops was Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh is famous for having a castle and palace inside the center of the city. If you look one way you see a modern metropolis, and the other you see the Royal Mile. While we were exploring Edinburgh, we came across The Parish Church of St Cuthbert. Founded in the 7th century, the church once covered an extensive parish around the burgh of Edinburgh. The church’s current building was designed by Hippolyte Blanc and completed in 1894. Here are some shots from around the building.
