“Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.” – Margaret Mead

It’s funny how life works. It seems like something might happen in the near future. It feels far away, but then all of a sudden it’s here. The event seems like it will never happen. People keep telling you it’s coming, and they are promising you that they will follow through on their end. At some points it feels like it isn’t going to happen. Change might feel like it will never come, but then it comes all of a sudden. Change will always happen. We have to make sure we are prepared for it.

A huge change that happened in our area back in the winter was the massive amounts of snowfall that came here. We haven’t had a lot of snow in Charlotte, North Carolina in several years. Last winter was a cold one, and we were wondering if we would get any snow out of it. One week, we had an ice storm. Those are not fun. The following week, the weather started saying we would get some snow, but at first we didn’t think it would be that much. Then they started saying we’d get a few inches. Then a few inches became over a foot. That was the most snow I had seen since we lived in Kentucky over ten years ago. Since it was a major event for us, I had a camera out the entire time. School was canceled for a few days, so I took some afternoon walks on some days. While I was out walking I captured photos of everyone walking around in the snow with me. Just like when the snow came to us this winter, changes in life do the same.
