Great Ideas

“Everyone is a genius at least once a year. The real geniuses simply have their bright ideas closer together.” – Georg C. Lichtenberg

I think we all have a great idea at one point in our lives. The question is, do we follow through with it or not? Too often, we don’t follow through with our ideas because of a fear of rejection and failure. We allow that fear to consume us and take over our thoughts. It is true that our idea might end up being a failure. That doesn’t mean we should give up. When you hear from some of the best writers and creators of our day, many of them will tell you about the many rejections they have experienced. I actually bought a book once that cataloged people’s rejection letters. We can’t let these things hold us back. Because those who are successful didn’t allow rejection to stop them. They continued to look for more opportunities, and eventually one landed. Don’t keep those great ideas to yourself. Share them, and use the rejection as a way to grow.

I take a lot of photos. Some of them turn out great, and others not so much. Oftentimes, people will compliment and like my work, and other times I get a nasty comment. That doesn’t mean I will stop taking photos any time soon. It just means I take those negative comments with a grain of salt. Last winter, I was able to visit Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida. Discovery Cove is a nature-themed resort. We spent the day walking with flamingos, chilling in the lazy river, and snorkeling with the stingrays. I captured these photos while we were walking in the aviary. We were able to feed the birds and interact with them. I captured photos of them while we were there. Let me know in the comments if you like these. If you don’t, feel free to share your thoughts too.
