“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” — Winston Churchill

There is so much to see in the world around us. It’s easy, though, to stay within the same circle and the same spots daily. I know that when things get busy during the school year, I easily get into the habit of going to work, home, and back without anything happening in between. When things get busy during the year, I try to do something that takes me out of that same daily routine. I try to take some time sitting at a local coffee shop or taking an afternoon walk around the neighborhood. This why I am out and about, and it helps keep me focused.

Another thing I love to do is ride my bike around town. There is a nice walking and bike path that runs all the way to Uptown Charlotte. I will take that path to check out different things around town. Fourth Ward Park is a three-acre urban park at 301 North Poplar Street in the Fourth Ward of Charlotte, North Carolina. It features walking trails, decorative water fountains, and a children’s playground including slides and swings. Here are a few shots I captured while I was visiting there on my bike.
