“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.” – William Arthur Ward

I think we all have a bucket list of things that we want to see in our lifetime. For me, some of those places are inside the United States and others are outside of it. Most of these places are unlike anything in my area. It is not that Charlotte doesn’t have a lot of cool things in town, but it doesn’t have everything. That’s why I love to travel. I want to see things that I can’t see on a regular basis. This is how I grow my perspective of the world by seeing more of the world.

It’s one thing to see the Eiffel Tower on TV, but it is a completely different experience to see it in real life. They call her the Iron Lady, and I see why. The tower sits majestically in the sky by the Seine River. We started our journey to see the Eiffel Tower early in the morning on the last day of our cruise. The bus ride was three hours from the cruise terminal to the center of the city. Once there, we spent time walking around the base of the Eiffel Tower before enjoying a lunchtime river cruise. Here are just a few of the photos I captured while we were in Paris.
