It’s funny how we don’t appreciate something while we have it. Good cell reception is sometimes something we take for granted. I remember when I worked at the first school I ever taught at. I never realized how great the cell reception was compared to other parts of the city. When I went to my next school, that great cell reception was long gone. If I wanted to view a video on a break, I would have to go outside just to get an okay connection. Another thing I didn’t realize was nice until it was gone was being able to get a coffee at random times during Covid. At that time, I was teaching students remotely while working from home. It was easy for me to grab a cup of coffee during breaks back then. During my normal days as a classroom teacher, if I want coffee throughout the morning, I have to prepare for it by filling up my Yeti cup before a go to work.
One thing I didn’t appreciate while I was in college was the fact that one of the world’s best waterfalls was on my college campus. Believe it or not, we have visited the falls more since we graduated from college than we did while we were attending college. We just didn’t think about taking a walk over there. I’m glad that I have been able to go back and visit. I appreciate the falls more since I am older. Toccoa Falls is known as a hidden gem in Georgia. It’s one of the easiest waterfalls to access in the southeastern United States. At 186 feet, it is 25 feet taller than Niagara Falls. The falls are magnificent and a must-see when you travel through Georgia. It’s a short walk to the base of the falls.
