“Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.”- Leo Buscaglia

We all have great talents. Some of us choose to use them, while others do not. Our talents are a gift. I used to try to keep most of my talents to myself because, in my mind, I didn’t have time to do anything with them. During the lockdown of 2020, I realized that I needed to share my gifts with others more. For example, I often bring my camera with me to school events and take photos. Do I have to? No, but I do it. I try to do the best I can with it. We all have great gifts that should be shared.

Another way I share my gifts is by posting the photos I take online. I usually try to share photos from places that have amazing views. One place that had amazing views was Scotland. One of our stops in Scotland over the summer was a town called Stornoway. We spent the morning walking around the small village, appreciating all of the great places there. Then we took a bus to the Calanais Standing Stones. Most people know these as Scotland’s Stonehenge. The Calanais Stones are a prehistoric stone circle and stone alignment on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The monument was built during the Neolithic period, around 2750 BC. After checking out the stones, I took a few moments to enjoy the amazing views around them. This was some beautiful country, and it was hard to look away. Here are some black and white photos that I captured while I was there.
